On April 16, 2009, memorial services for both Captain James Harlow and Firefighter Damion Hobbs of Houston Station 26 were held at the Grace Community Church.
Both fell in the Line of Duty on April 12, 2009, Easter Sunday.
Fresno was among 3,000 firefighters from around the state and the world to pay tribute and honor to these men and their families. Assembling at 0500, Fresno along with other Fort Bend and Brazoria county fire departments proceeded to Ellington AFB where they staged along side other fire departments for the service. Our thoughts and prayers are always with HFD and the families of Captain Harlow and Firefighter Hobbs.
Rest in Peace, Brothers. You will never be forgotten.
Hard to say goodbye to you Capt. I think of you everyday. I will not I cannot forget you.
