I believe the Alenia is manufactured in Canada as we had a query from them regarding the HD video master copy to be used for promotion.

It's going to supplement the AC-130 rather than replace it. Means they can have a more scaleable option rather than a herky bird.

the u.s. is going to make this plane with the help of lockeed. then boeing is going to suit it up with guns to make it a gunship. i heard it is going to replace the AC-130 gunship

The C-27J Spartan out performs the CASA C-295 in almost all areas and is better suited the CASR mission criteria set by the Canadian Armed Forces. The C-27J is also a cost-effective platform offering compatibiliy with Canada s new C-130J-30. The C-27J is Canada s best option.

Well if your Gov't is anything like ours (looking to do it all on the cheap and as far in the future as possible)maybe we could team up, combine our requirements and develop a new airframe. We have really old Buffaloe's, SeaKing's & Herc's, you have F-111's (Aardvarks right?) We could patch together Aarherkingaloe's..... they could STOL, fly NOE & Mach2, and land vertically!
