The Santa Cruz Ocean Spirit Music and Wave Festival held the 2009 Surf Kayak World Championships. At Santa Rita Beach, Portugal all 140 surf kayakers that entered showed off their stuff between 24th July and 2nd August this year.
The festival was fantastic and everyone that went would agree with me, here's hoping that the USA East team can up the game even further for 2011.
Overall England won the team event, making us the 2008 Home International winners and the 2009 World Champions. Not bad going!
Well done to everyone that competed at the event, most of the video footage is of England team members, including Gary's massive aerial! But you can spot a few other well known paddlers in it!
I'm sorry the video has taken so long to put up, my computer has died countless times since the event and so has prevented me making the video.
