At First Sight: Part 2

Jocelyns POV
Me and Desiree decided to leave that night for New York City. It was Friday and we wanted to beat the traffic on Saturday Morning. I could tell Desiree was really excited to see David again. They have been dating for about 3 years. They had always had feelings for each other, but were just too scared to admit it especially since they were such close friends. But they realized it was the best move they could have made, and I'm happy for them. It just makes me a little sad when I see them together, and I'm with nobody. I told Desiree we could take my car there for a change. She always drove. It was about 3 o'clock, so we figured it would take us a little over an hour to get there. We finally got to NYU. Desiree had called David to tell him that we were here. As soon as we pulled up, David came running out to the parking lot and gave Desiree a huge hug and a kiss. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he hugged her.
David: I missed you so much.
Desiree: I did too.
Jocelyn: I missed you too David.
He looked up at me.
David: Hey! I didn't forget you Jocelyn.
He came over and gave me a big hug.
David: I missed you best friend.
Jocelyn: Me too.
David: Come on guys! Let's go up to my dorm.
Me and Desiree followed David arm and arm up the stairs. She was smiling and laughing while she was talking to David.
David: So what do you guys wanna do tonight? Whatever restaurant you want, my treat.
Desiree: It's ok, you don't have to.
David: It's alright sweetie, I want to.
Desiree giggled to herself. I could tell she was ecstatic to be here. We finally got to his dorm. He told us his room mate left for the weekend so we wouldnt have to worry about him. I sat and listened to the radio as Desiree and David caught up a little more from the couple of months they spent apart.
" This is your last chance to win 2 Jonas Brothers concert tickets followed by a meet and greet with the boys. Just call 555-395-6704. Be the 20th caller, once again this is your last chance to win tickets."
I looked up at Desiree and David who were already looking at me.
David: Call.
Jocelyn: What?
David: Call the number on the radio.
Jocelyn: I dont know...
Desiree: Dude, just do it. It's worth a shot. You wanna see him again don't you? I wouldn't mind seeing him again either. Or his brothers.
Jocelyn: It would just be so awkward..
David grabbed my phone and was calling.
David: Here! They answered.
Jocelyn: Hello?
Radio Guy: Helloooo! I'm guessing you're calling to win Jonas Brothers tickets, especually the meet and greet correct?
Jocelyn: Um..yeah.
Radio Guy: I'm sorry you were so close. You were the 22nd caller, we were looking for the 20th!
I felt my heart sink.
Jocelyn: Um..thats ok. Maybe next time.
I hung up the phone and looked up at them.
Jocelyn: I didn't win. Wasn't the right caller.
David: You should have called when we said to!
Jocelyn: I'm sorry! My head was kinda spinning in all different directions.
Desiree came over and gave me a hug.
Desiree: It's alright. Soon. Don't give up hope.
Jocelyn: I'm fine! You guys were more excited for this than I was.
Desiree: Yeah ok.
Jocelyn: Whatever..let's go get some dinner, ok?
David: Alright. But next time something like that comes on, you're doing it.
