Music Is Dance.
An alternate edit to better fit this style of dance.

In the original version of this video, we might be pressed to call the movement Blues, even though the song clearly was. Instead, we apply a definitive non blues version of the same song, and we can see how much more fitting the movement is to this song.

It's not just about the spacing and timing, but the action of the music itself. There's not a lot going on in the original video, yet the choreographer(s) choose to fill that empty space with lots of movement. In another song, this might've been appropriate, as the additional movement could replace lost elements of rhythm. But John the Revelator is intentionally devoid of music at the opening, this is what makes it impactful.

The use of DM's John the Revelator is covered by 17 U.S.C. § 106 and 17 U.S.C. § 106A . This video is for educational purposes to promote an understanding of dancers of the connection between movement and music.
