@strobingthunder Yeah but dead batteries are a bitch. Hammers and nails never fail.
-
just one of those side boards would of worked across bottom of the entire pod and would be just as stable
-
@strobingthunder we usually screw ours together, but have found that it splits the end pieces of the racks sometimes, which isquite annoying.
-
what is the ratio of the fuse how many cm and how much liftpowder?
-
you pound nails like a girl...and plywood or partcle board makes better "cleats" or racks fet as we call them...i noticed yours was splitting

yeah you dont want to use screws, save as much wood as you can, you dont want to add the cost of wood to the cost of shells.
rechargeable power drill and screws would save a lot of time compared to nailing everything together

I work displays and we screw the racks together or we use tie straps.
Generally speaking you will get many years worth of service out of racks as long as there isnt a flower pot

what type of wood do you reccomend for high humidity areas ? when im at my fathers display company in florida he's always trying to build longer lasting racks, and due to the increase in humidity, our racks are starting to crack and are constantly being replaced. (if it helps, we use white oak)

We are in Chicago and also have to deal with high humidity.
We cut down 2x4sand 2x12s to the needed size and we use 3/4 thick plywood for the side rails.
Unless a shell flowpots, we get many of years out of the racks , hope this helps.
