anyone know how old she was when she sang this or two little orphans? Im dying to know, i have been listening to these for 30 odd years now and still dont know.
I agree with the comments made, this song is a sad song but I think out of this & another song Dolly did called Me & Little Andy, i'd go as far as saying I think both are very sad but I think Me & Little Andy would be classed as the most upsetting song out of the two due to the different circumstances of the young child simply wanting somewhere to stay with her puppy dog & them dying that night... =o'(

@cutie12980 From the discographical information I saw on this, it was recorded in 1963, when she would have been 17 or so.

There was another song Dolly did that is just as sad. It is called Two Little Orphans. She did these songs at a young age.
