2 Hours Later.
kevin: *calls demi*
demi: hey kevin, whats up?
kev: We're gonna go ice-skating today wanna come with?
demi: *thinks about it for a sec* sure! when are you guys leaving?
kev: in, like, half an hour
demi: oh, then okay well i better start getting ready
kev: yea, i'll call you then
demi: okay bye *both hang up*
1/2 Hour Later @ the ice-skating rink
(P.S they invited vanessa, zac, miley, and cody to come, too)
They all put on their ice skates and hit the ice.
demi: *skating around in circles*
sel: *catches up to demi* Hey demi
demi: oh, Hey Sel..
V: *skates up to them with zac following* hi
sel/demi: hey Vanessa *they both smile* Zac.
Zac: *smiles*
sel: having fun?
V: yeah! thanks for inviting us to come.
sel: no problem *smiles*
V/Zac: *skate away, holding hands*
sel: catch you later, demz. *skates to Nick*
nick: *takes her hand and they both skate, hand-in-hand*
demi: *sighs because she's by herself*
Demi looks at Ashley and sees that she is skating with Kevin, and Miley is with Cody, so she starts to feel left out. Demi's eyes lead to Joe, who is sitting down at a table drinking hot chocolate, watching, then their eyes meet and Demi quickly looks away and continues to skate.
sel: *looks at joe then at demi, who is skating alone* They both look..
nick: lonely? desperate? yup.
sel: yeah, we need to get them back together already.
nick: I'm on it. *calls out to Joe* Hey Joe! over here!
sel: What do you mean?
nick: just call Demi.
sel: okay? *calls out to Demi* Demi! Can you come here for a sec?
joe: *gets on the ice and skates to where selena & nick are* Whats up?
demi: *goes to Selena's side* Yeah?
sel: *thinks of something and nods to Nick* Demi, theres a cooler in the car, can you get it?
nick: yeah, heres the keys? *hands his keys to her*
demi: but that cooler weighs a ton!
nick: *nudges Joe* Don't worry, Joe will help you. *smiles*
joe: I will? *feels awkward* i mean,.yes. i will.
sel: hurry, cause i'm getting kinda thirsty.
demi: whatever. *walks away with Joe behind her* [thinks: They set me up! well it isnt gonna work cause im not gonna talk to Joe, anyway] *opens the car and motions Joe to get the cooler*
Joe: *watches her*
demi: *clears her throat* or are you gonna make ME carry that all the way over there?
joe: *snaps out of it* no. no, i'll get it.
After Joe gets the cooler, she closes the door and walks back to the rest, Joe following behind.
When Selena and Nick see them coming back, Selena looks at Demi, who looks irritated.
Sel: it didn't work.
nick: *sarcastic* ya think?
That Night.
As Demi was getting ready for bed, her phone rings and she sees that joe is calling so she takes a deep breath and answers.
demi: Hello???
joe: hi demi
demi: what do you want?
joe: nothing, i just wanted to know.....
demi: to know?
joe: um, nevermind.
demi: no, its okay. tell me.
joe: to know if, if you're still mad at me.
demi: the truth is...yea i'm mad.
joe: still? c'mon. or are you 'playing hard to get' after what I did?
demi: me? 'playing hard to get'? yeah right.
joe: i'm sorry demi
demi: sorry doesnt fix a broken heart, joe.
joe: i broke your heart???
demi: yea, you did
joe: *raises his voice* she was about to kiss ME demi!!! *starts to feel irritated*
demi: *raises her voice as well* and you went right on about to kiss her, too!!
joe: well then! lets just stay ignoring each other forever!!
demi: fine!! *starts to sob*
joe: *hears her sobbing and stops yelling* demi dont cry, i didnt really mean it
demi: *hangs up*
joe: *calls her back*
demi: *ignores the call*
joe: *mad at himself for even yelling at her and doing what he did to her* [thinks: maybe i should just move on with my life already and forget about Demi]
