  • Klinsmann destroyed us, the over head kick was mesmerizing and he was truly one of the best players from that era from 90-97. It was a good game and Forest played well but Bayern were too good.

  • They were still a class side, but i'm sure the likes of Papin, klinsmann Matthaus & nerlinger were all 30+ at the time...this was the year after klinsmann left spurs i think...he was about 30 when he signed for tottenham.

  • Not sure if it was an ageing Bayern side-Bayern went on to win the Uefa Cup that year and Germany won Euro 96

  • I remember watching it at the ground. The scoreline flattered Bayern as Forest conceeded most when chasing the game. Some bad decisions went against the reds that day too. A valid goal ruled out for off-side and a blatant penalty and sending off from a hand ball on the line in the clip above alone. Bayerns first was never a free kick also. Klinsman at his best ;-)

  • Playing for Liverpool. His last season for Forest was the one before.

  • The Bayern team looks really strong... Papin and Klinsmann on the bench! Where's collymore (stan the man)?

  • i remember watching this on BBC1, Forest were taken apart by an ageing Bayern Munich side, lol!

  • More like several times in the UEFA Cup! Its harder to believe we fell so far, but good to know we're on our way back. Playing football Clough would be proud of.

  • It's hard to believe Nottingham Forest were once in The Uefa Cup and Twice European Cup Winners considering now.
