An example of what you can expect when using internet tethering within Australia.

There are two things I should note, 1: I live in Adelaide, not Melbourne, it was just the recommended server. 2: I live in the middle of nowhere and I only had 3 (of 5) bars of reception so you can expect higher speeds in more metropolitan areas.

  • @jimbodgreat I've gotten 3000-5000kbps with a 5 bar signal in Adelaide and 5000-8000kbps in Sydney which is only slightly below average for a wired ADSL connection. Upload is also multiple times higher than the average upload speed.

    Considering you would only use this when you don't have a wired connection available, it really isn't bad at all.

  • Yes 15/Mbit is fast i had this one speed. and it was really fast but we upgradet to 30 ! :D REALLY FAST!
