The Texas All-State choir singing The Darkling Thrush by Timothy Takach.
Turn it up. a lot. If you dont turn it up at the end, you wont hear that magical double bass harmony.
If i can find my CD, I'll upload some more TMEA music from last year.

  • I love this! I LOVE how Dr.A added the little details that no one had tried before.

    i.e. "shrunnn-ken"

    :]

  • Thats my favorite part too!

  • was this an area piece?

  • you know, i'm thinking it must have been introduced for those advancing to the region audition since i have the all-region choir singing it on my posted videos. you should check it out

it breaks my heart in ways i never thought it would. haha. bah. this is a BEAUTIFUL SONG. and in terms of region music, this was the best year of my four.

  • @aggieemily2013 I guess they just do it different spatially in Texas, I'm from Florida. We did this song for all state in '09

  • @Noelle678 ...maybe, but I've only heard it referred to as all-region.

  • @aggieemily2013 I was in all state but I have not heard of all-region before... is this another name for all county?

  • I stil have my music from that year.. this sounds great! :D

  • @ChorusNerrdd I was in that choir! Probably my favorite song from that year.

  • I sang in this concert, and i have to say that it was a fun time.

  • @ajoshiliveson OMG DUDE I KNW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT..the "K", "T", "R" everything sounds-especially the "blast" part-its slow and perfect..bc in that measure the note tha accompanies it has a little line i think its a retard sign to pay attention to that syllable you knw and its perfect and this whole thing this whole performance is jst perfect in every single imaginable..i like to hear the St. Olaf Choir do this and BYU actually jst bc you knw

  • It makes me sad that no one has uploaded the video from Mixed choir 2007.
