  • Hi! Can you use that tool in putting the bearing back in?

  • @bootsyng - No, that tool only pulls the bearing off. The bearing should be installed in the case, not on the shaft (at least on vertically split cases). You need out "Tusk crank puller/Installer tool" for that.

  • i dont understand wht crank means... there is a guy wants to sell a bike n he told me the crank is broken ... can anyone explain to me? thanks.

  • @Emad5501 - if he is refering to the crankshaft, that is pretty serious. complete tear down and engine rebuild.

  • @RockyMountainATVMC here u go the link; rak.dubizzle.com/classified/motorcycles/sport-bike/2011/8/23/yamaha-r1-crank-broken--11/

  • Or do it the easier way and eliminate the risk of grinding into your crank by following the directions in the video instead. Grinding a bearing off a crank would be a pain in the ass.

  • @RockyMountainATVMC Thanks but I don't know, he told me it gets fixed for 2400 Dhs, so that's about $660 US Dollars, it doesn't coast as an engine rebuild, any idea?

  • I have a gear puller with three arms. I use it to pull timing chain gears off the crankshaft of small block Chevy's. It looks like it may do this job too, only if the arms have enough reach.
