Accident With Injuries

Elmhurst police, Fire Department, and Paramedics respond to a two car collision at Robert Palmer Drive (the underpass) and Marion. Cause of the accident is uncertain but the late afternoon sun may have obscured the vision of the red car's driver and prevented her from seeing the oncoming traffic. Multiple police squads responded to aid the victims as well as take control of the scene and direct traffic. Fire Department responded with Medic 1 and Squad 1, both from Elmhurst Fire Station # 1. This video condenses a roughly forty minute time period. It should be noted that Elmhurst residents, as well as the emergency responders, jumped in with a true sense of professionalism, sensitivity, and dignity, and did their upmost to insure proper care for the victims.
