Berea HS Robotics at National Robotics Challenge

This is video of a match of robo hockey in which we competed during the National Robotics Challenge in Marion, Ohio, April 17, 2009. It's our first year at the event. Our two robot team consisted of an offensive robot (forward) and a defensive robot (goalie). Our forward, named "Lex Anne" had a 4-wheel holonomic drive, a sweeper arm to move the puck, and a pneumatic piston to shoot. We discovered that the piston was also useful for moving opposing robots (power checking, anyone?) Our goalie, named "Lex Andy" was a simple box with a holonomic drive, although in this match, it didn't have anything to do. We had a lot of fun at this competition and finished fifth in a field of 20.
