  • 425 motor is the best better than the 455 everyone is telling me the crank is forged ! i have a 350 diesel block and it has the 425 crank im just waiting for a rainy day to have it built up but i need to find some c heads !

  • @midnitesquirldog All 64-67 330, 400 and 425 motors had forged cranks and rods factory. The only 455 forged crank was a few in '68 and is very hard to find and spendy. I'm building a 66 400 now.

  • It still has to be dialed in, he needs dyno time, and exhaust. He ran out of money to finish it so we enjoy what we got now. But I TOTALLY hear ya! He has a 425 in that, slightly built.

  • that car is sick! don't see many like that on the road or at shows hardly EVER! keep it real and keep it Oldsmobile!

  • I LOVE A 425! That is my favorite Olds engine the 350 rocket is a very close 2nd. You bore a 350.68 over and stroke it and you have a 425..that is why I love those motors...That 65 sounds MEAN...Love it!

  • I wish he would just let it idle, and record the sound from the rear. Anyone that had one will never forget the melody from the duals, on a 65 400 V8 442! (and we know why we were back there)
