A classic song on a classic album that will be considered a timeless treasure even hundreds of years from now.

Who knows. The song means something totally different to me and indeed maybe to him. What ever it means it is a truly beautiful and touching peace of music as are all of there songs. Peace and love may your god be with you.

That's your deal, but I personally don't ever get how someone can say "the song means something different to me".

The song means what the artist intended it to mean, period.

I'm thinking of Peter, Mary Magdalene and Jesus. The only question who won, the redemption? Is the song right, is it Jesus (it's clearly the one who sent his land - the Jewish - to the slaughter)? And most of all is peace redemption or the quiet before the storm?

I think the line 'I need proof before belief' would suggest that Tim is an Atheist. Rightly so to.
