Big Huntsman Spider

Never seen before nocturnal footage of a large Huntsman spider from north eastern NSW Australia catching, killing and devouring a native Australian bush cockroach. These large Huntsman spiders do not build webs to catch prey but instead rely on stealth and speed to capture their food.
This Huntsman spider was shot with custom designed lighting and macro equipment. This huntsman spider is Heteropoda cervina. This Huntsman spider is sometimes calIed the tropical huntsman spider.
The venom of these spiders is known as Heteropodatoxin.Huntsman spiders are also found in other places around the world other than Australia. Huntsman spiders are generally large spiders.
