There is now a documentary on here explaining it all. The answer to your specific question is in part 3. But basically you don't feel much cooler as you have no temperature gauges internally but you can feel a real difference when very fatigued and hot - you feel fresher, far less fatigued and ready to go again.

Craig Heller, and Dennis Grahn (I think that's how you spell their names), are the two Biologists that invented the corecontrol. They were at one point in time, working on a glove version. The only photo's I have ever seen were from several years ago e.g. circa 2007? At that time it was still very crude and formative. In other words, it was big and ugly. I have no clue if they are still working on it or not, but that might be something worth looking into.

@micahtrib So regulation of body heat is built in, awesome. I need to find out a place near me that has one of these so I can try it for myself. I'm also interested in development of a glove application that can be worn, because I'd like to build a biosupport suit that can be worn for extremely long periods of time while using built-in regulation of heat for hot or cold environments.

The temperature is regulated by a heating element in the machine, and the temperature is set by you, before using the machine. It will only cool your core temperature back down to normal. The idea is that you will alway perform at 100%.

When they were testing this machine, they compaired it to known statistical results from taking anabolic steriods, prohormones etc., and found that the results from using the corecontrol were better. AVAcore has the study. Either look on their website, or email them for it. I have a paper copy floating around somewhere...

Please remember that both of the men that designed this machine are biologists. In their minds, numbers and statistics are all that count. Not how you "feel" so much as how many reps, and how much weight you do. If you feel like crap, but you do more weight, and more reps, then the machine worked. So many suppliments make you feel like an animal in the gym, but statisticly do not compaire with this technology.

Basically, about $3,000. It was not designed for poor kids, or late night tv. I happen to own one, and if more people gave it a try, or the manufacturing costs would come down, I am personally very sure that it would become as common as whey protein, and bench pressing.

We talked about this in biology today. It basically helps cool down your muscles. They are constricted from putting so much pressure on them, and this device cools the muscles so they can loosen (vasodilation) and allow more oxygen and heat to be distributed. The steel plates cool the muscles and the vacuum helps enhance blood flow.
