does anyone know when the next update will be for the macbook air, or if there will even be one? and if there is what will the update entail, like better battery life, more ssd memory, or lower price?

SSD is so much faster without a doubt. I tested the Air's SSD and it's amazingly fast and powerful. It's way too pricey, but I'm sure they'll lower the price on the 128GB SSD and they might make the 128GB SSD standard on the next update, we'll see.

VERY sexy but too much money. I have the june 15" MBP which I use as my primary computer. I'd like to have an air for my travel computer. I just can't see spending $1800 on a 2.13ghz processor with only 2gb of ram. If it was same as a macbook price, then maybe.

The reason it's faster is the soild state drive much better read write than the pro's 7200rpm hard drive.
