My disco 2 does not leak so that's not at all true, that they all leak.....I guess you only ever hear of the ones complaining that they do. I have owned 4 discoverys and loved them all especially the td5 I got now. Saying that I haven't owned any other 4x4 so I can't compare and am probably byest.

@jayg2009 I'd still have a Disco II over a Freelander any day.
-
women shouldnt be allowed to drive offroad
-
@egrriakf you change car every year? . i'd like to do that
but anyway land rover discovery 3/lr3 is really that good off road? i ve seen some videos but since it s a very expensive car we don t get to see really extreme off roading with it
-

I've had 8 discos, 4 Discovery 2 and 4 lr3, two at a time. They have never dissapointed me and i've never had any problem with any of them!

I am in the market to buy a SUV and I'm thinking of getting a LR Discovery or a LR3. I'm just concerned about the reliability.....I have herd they are always in the shop

ok is it about time i removed my original comment?
DO NOT GET THIS CAR, it is by far the most unreliable car land rover have ever produced, i had one for a number of years and it constantly went wrong u name the part it had to be replaced, common dont u think its a bit shocking having to have a new gear box after 50k miles. other than the reliability it is a very fun car but i would suggest a series 3 or defender any day.

We love them, but reliability is always an issue with Land Rovers. High maintenance like that needed for a beautiful woman. Hard to deliver at times but worth the effort!

Give it some gas , don't be such a puss! I've oowned 3 dicoveries never got stuck once, Most 4x4 ppl think if it has hig tires and larege groung clearance then you can do anything. It comes down to skill and common sense, it's not the equipment it's all about knowing how to use it. Pure and simple. Put your pride and arrongance aside before you hit the trail, it's your only savior in the muck!!

Wow, aren't you the expert. He is on solid rock at a very steep angle. Not sure what you are on about really.

Not perfect vehicles by any means, but I spent a hell of a lot more money on keeping my Jeep Wrangler running than I have my Range Rover. We don't buy them to sell them anyways - so not real worried about resale value!
