Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker has been a leading light in contemporary dance in Europe for more than 20 years, while Steve Reich, a pioneer of minimalist music, has been described as Americas greatest living composer.
Steve Reich Evening is a programme of dance devoted to the enduring relationship between these two acclaimed artists.
The show will be performed at Sadler's Wells on 29 & 30 September 2008.

@rumpwrestler WHAT that is not true at all! he made up ALL of this own stuff. In fact, the african drumming - all he really established with that was that you could subdivide 12 eighth notes into 4s, 3s, 2s, 6s, etc. He had to go home early because of malaria or something anyway. It was that special book, writings on african music which really influenced him. And Terry Riley? betch please. It was Reich's idea to put the pulse in In C. Terry Riley is great; Steve Reich is very very different! :)
