We don't want the Americans to do in the Niger Delta, what they have done in Iraq. Surely not, but they can learn from the Iraqian situation and do the right thing in the Niger Delta now. The Niger delta crisis is about equity and social justice. The American, British, Chiness and Nigerian governments can find a negociated solution through the United Nations. Yes, The Americans can put out the fire in the Niger.

Unfortunately, the Marshall Plan was implemented not as a gesture of humanitarian concern but the US was afraid that Communism would rise to power from war's wreckage. The US gov. wanted corporate capitalism to have a fertile breeding ground, so they rebuilt Japan. With communism no longer a "threat" they don't see a reason for a Marshall Plan in Nigeria, or any other place ...
