Seahorse Courtship Dance @ MBA

Beautifully filmed at the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, this stunning video allows you a rare view into the Secret Lives of Seahorses. As the sun rises over the ocean, the female seahorse rises up to meet her mate and at a silent signal, they begin an ancient ritual of courtship. Watching them nod, gently entwining tails with each other and circling in perfect harmony reminds me of watching the sweet, intricate courtship dances performed by exotic tropical birds. At the end, the female passes her eggs into her mate's pouch for incubation. I only wish I'd been able to do this, too! :)
