If you plan on concealing either firearm, possibly inside the waistband, avoid the blued finishes. Neither S&W nor Ruger have perfected corrosion resistance process yet. The melanite process simply does not protect against sweat or high salt levels. In short, they're great guns, but if you want one, go stainless for the slide or go Glock tenifer.

@JustinLDenman It weighs more than a glock...hence better accuracy with reduced recoil...especially with higher calibers

I have the SR40c. The day I bought it , I took my live fire test for my conceal carry and shot 21 out of 23 shots in the bullseye. I had never fired a 40 before. It is very accurate right out of the box. My favorite personal pistol was my Ruger P90........and then I got the SR40c :-)

I apologize for the delay in answering. I have been at a shoot in Arkansas for a few days, with no access to email.
Just personal choice, as both are excellent weapons.

Nice group Jeff. My question is does the trigger feel better than the SR-9? Does the gun feel any different at all than the SR-9. Thank you for all you're reviews. They are very helpfull.

It feels pretty much like the SR9. The triggers on later guns are better than on the early SR9 pistols.
