This is the offical ABRSM CD recording for Grade 7 Piano 2007-2008. I thought I would upload it to give people a clue as how the piece goes.

  • can you post B:1 lanscape? because i am always curious how it really sound like, please and thankyou. =]

  • Yes, sure. Have lent the CD to somebody at the mo, but will upload all of the ones printed in the book, and any of the alternate ones people ask for, what other pieces are you playing?

  • i dont think i can this fast for the test >< there are absolutely no breaks or descrease in tempo [excluding the end] in this song!

  • I agree, I did it at about crotchet=108, which is a good steady speed, any slower and you'd probably get marked down I would have thought, but i'm not an expert in any way.

  • i had problem with the expression.. don really know went to go loud and soft.. really in trouble

  • Well, the recording doesn't use any dynamics because it would have been written for harpsichord, which doesn't use any dynamics. However it says in the notes at the bottom of the page in the book, that dynamics are left to the player's discretion. So, you don't really have to, unless you just do the natural crescendos like bar 3 to the end of bar 4.

  • Is it possible to upload the whole cd? I can't remember the syllabus for this particular year

  • you can by mp3s of their website now

  • i played a grade 5 piece on the violin and the same piece in the same key was a grade 7 viola piece. The reason though is because you have to play it really high on the viola to be at the same pitch as a violin. However in this case, they might have thought the change in key justified the piece being 2 grades lower. I am not sure, is it definately the same piece?

  • im playing this for my exam on the 9th of december!
