  • @kim1by because color is realitive, in even brands. One prussian blue is not the same as another prussian blue. The best thing to do is find a primary blue, red, yellow and youre set. In these videos, i use all sorts of brands and the color per se isnt that important. wet on wet paintings are not known for their color realism. thanks for watching.

  • Sorry, I became inpatient and didn't wait to watch the entire video. You are really a great instructor and I appreciate your help.....really, thank you so very much;)

  • What colors of blue are you using??? Do you mix your blues on your palette? Why don't you state what colors you are using and/or mixing together. Sometimes color theory is the most challenging part of painting and I am surprised you didn't say what colors you are using from the gate. The language you use of "real, real, dark," or "real, real, white" mean nothing to me, as those terms/descriptions are merely relative. Thank you for your help.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar Thank you, that was very useful! :)

  • @avrilroxxxx in these videos, dick blick student oils and bob ross oils from an old set i had. you can use any kind, but some are thinner and some yellow really bad when they oxidize. for the thinner paints, i will let them sit out for a day to partialy dry out. You should pick a brand and type that works best for your stroke and style.

  • what brand of oils are you using?

  • @samthomas31 adding liquid dish soap to ur paint makes ur acrylics dry slower and it will work better.

  • @samthomas31 yes but you have to be very fast because the acrylics dry really fast. you also can thin them out. it can be pretty rough.
