I am guessing that this was put up by an American (because of the way they put the date). I was at both occasions when Jimi played at the Saville Theatre and I am almost certain that there is no actual footage. I remember Jimi wearing skin tight white trousers and a purple velvet open long jacket with a diamanté in his navel! We were lucky enough to get the afternoon matinee when Brian Epstein died and the evening show was cancelled. What a waste of a wonderful talent.

Great footage, easy to forget how unique this first single sounded at the time. I was at this Savile show (and a few others), he was supporting The Who and blew everybody away. Still the best...

I think this was used as the promo video for HEY JOE. Someone should match up the audio of that 1/27 Saville gig if it's availiable to this video.

Good Video, I cant believe some fool gave this a 1 star, I tried to bump it up with a 5 star, Jimi looks like Morgan Freeman here.
Brian Epstein died in August and The Saville Theatre was opened under Epstein's stewardship in June when Hendrix first played there so the date here is wrong.

You're right. It is always a pleasure to look at and listen to Jimi playing those timeless songs. I never get tired of it. Thanks.
