Hopefully fans of Jeff Mangum won't find this to be too blasphemous. It's a little up-tempo and I had enough trouble with the strumming as it was, but I think it's a pretty okay cover. Better than my last one, anyway.

You can hear my mother in the background at a couple random points. How rude.

  • @Superbranson My dad was the one who got me into rock. He showed me his old Neil Young and Jimi Hendrix albums. They blew my mind. Try topping Jimi with ANY guitarist today. Jimi, like myself, is one of the big boys for sure. If you like Jimi, maybe you would like Outkast? (Andre 3000 was going to play Jimi in a movie once but it never got made. I think i read about that in rolling stones and i thought "yes, that would be awesome".

  • @TheHippoFish I am crying right now, but it's not because of this (great) cover its actually because of family stuff. And to be honest its sort of personal so id rather not talk about it ok? thanks

  • @TheTimbeaux YOU ARE OUT OF YOU LEAGUE HERE SON. WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO HOME AND PLAY WITH DADDY OK? LEAVE THE ROCK TO THE BIG BOYS OH WAIT I JUST REALIZED YOU PROBABLY DONT

    LAST WARNIG TO SHUT UP

  • @Superbranson It seems to me like your appreciation of Rock and Roll arose a coping mechanism for your psychological pain ("i had to go to the hospital to get surgery because i was having too many nightmares"). Rage Against the Machine-both Rap AND Rock- are great for dealing with heavy emotions and the political truths of america. Also, try the Wu-Tang Clan's first album "Enter the Wu-Tang Clan (36 Chambers)". They are good rap and the performed live with Rage. It's cool to use music to feel.

  • @TheTimbeaux Alive? That's a real stretch buddy. A REEEAAAL STRETCH. Ever since I had to go to the hospital and get surgery because I was having too many nightmares. The only thing that keeps me going is rock and rool AKA "Real music". Bands like AC/DC. The Carpenters. Led Zepplin. and The Beatles. were real music. Nowadays it's all corporate crap. If it wasn't for REAL FANS like thricedotted I would be dead. In a way, I already am.

  • @Superbranson I don't agree. I do think that modern rap (Lil Wayne, Eminem, Jay-Z) is real crappy. It is all about sex and drugs. I do think that "Ol' School" rap is really great. Have you heard Aerosmith's Walk this Way? there are rappers in that song and it really sounds good. Maybe rap just needs some more rock and roll music behind it to bring out the quality. Keep singing! Life is overwhelmingly wonderous and your alive!

  • FUCK YES! ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE! FUCK THAT RAP NOISE.

SAY IT WITH ME, CHILDREN: "RAP = CRAP!"

  • You look like Emma Blunt.

  • @Cruzman3609 Wow, really? I guess that makes you an idiot

  • @thricedotted Me too xD
