@LORIDCOCHRAN I'm not a hater of Garth. You obviously don't read or listen very well. My complaint with Garth is how he has handled his music since retiring. All the best to Garth. When I'm in Vegas next, I will see his show.

@top20modernrock I would guess that Garth really doesn't care who got artist of the decade. He has already been there done that. And if an entire generation has missed hearing Garth's music, then they have missed an awesome musician. I understand not everybody likes country music and a lot of people of jealous of him & feel the need to put him down as is obvious by some of the posts here, but if you were to count, I bet you would find more fans than haters such as yourself. @LORIDCOCHRAN Because Vegas is where one goes when one's career is over. It's like putting a horse out to stud. Also, in today's world, there is so much music to listen to for free that if an artist chooses not to put their music online, it might as well not even exist. Thus, an entire generation has grown up and probably rarely if ever listened to a Garth Brooks song.  Also, Toby Keith was named Artist of the Decade at the last American Country Awards. That must hurt Garth's ego.

@the1texasmccoy Garth and many other singers have expressed their opinions about royalties on used CD's. And just because he has more money than his children and his grandchildren's children could spend doesn't mean he is greedy. He can still teach his children humility. He busted his butt selling out concert after concert with ticket prices much lower than any other artist was selling theirs for at the time so people who enjoyed his music could afford to go. I don't think that is greedy Ma'am.
