no open-toed shoes in the shop!

Good video. What would have also been important to mention is how to tell which side of the board is the front side. You can usually tell by the writing on the board. The top of the board will be above the wording (read normally).

@greendayftw123: Just use a good flashlight to inspect the threads of the holes in your board and those of your screws. If you find them damaged, either replace your screws or move the binding over to a different set of holes. You may just need to use a thread-locker on your screws. A common brand is Loctite. You can also buy screws that come with a Teflon® patch applied to the threads to keep them from backing out.

Thank you for your video, has helped me very much.

just wondering but how do you now when your bindings are senterd in the middle setting them forward and back
quick question, I noticed as i strapped into my 390s on my new board that my heel had quite some hang over and my toe had none at all. Now I was wandering if it is okay to rotate my base plate and move my bindings forward a tad to even out the toe/heel difference some. Will this throw off the centered weight of the board? Because when i had them normally on the board the baseplates were centered, now they are barely off centered towards my toe edge. thanks

@xxxxRandomHeroxxxx Hey there! Rotating the baseplate to better center your foot between the heel and toe edges of your board is a good idea (and will properly center your weight on the board). As long as you can line up the holes in the baseplate in such a way that 4 screws secure the baseplate to the board, rotating the baseplate should be a safe bet.

Should you have trouble aligning the holes on your baseplate with the binding inserts on your board, please give your local REI ski shop a call or take your board in. Our techs will be happy to take a quick look and get you safely on your way!
