We usually say 神様=Kami Sama.

The kunyomi of the reading of this kanji -- 神 -- is "kami"
The onyomi of the kanji is "shin"

Be both and all. The major religions have the danger of becoming a bit sterile at times. I love the idea of a universe full of minor deities. And I love the idea of shrines at every corner. Loved the video of offerings being made to a parking lot god. The specificity of that is very fun compared to heavy, all-seeing, all-powerful monotheistic types of gods.
