FWIW, Bill Lawrence has a little blurb on his Wilde Pickups site about capacitance in cables. He asserts that part of Jimi's tone was the "coily."

To every person complaining about the sustain:

1. Small pedals usually cut out pretty fast, but since this is leaning more to a rhythm fuzz, it's not a big deal.

2. The dude is using a strat, so it doesn't sustain long anyways.

3. JHS rules!!!!!!!

@hawg427 True for every coily I've used except the Bullet. I did an a/b experiment with Bullet, Monster, and a generic direct to the Blues Deluxe. The generic suuukt. I won't say the Bullet sounded the same as the Monster, but I preferred it.

This is currently my go to rhytm Fuzz...it definitly turns heads because the huge sound just doesn't match it size and looks!
