I'm not a moron. what i say is from what i noticed in Korea and obviously you have never lived there. Chinese is a popular language to learn in Korea but most Koreans if anything will know how to read the Chinese characters used back in Korea (hanja). ANd it is true that Chinese and Japanese people can understand each other's characters better than they can understand modern Korean because modern Korean characters have been altered more than from the original Chinese based characters.

lol no. the written chinese language used to be considered for the high class. now in korea, only some people choose to learn the chinese characters. but they don't learn to speak it. japanese understand chinese characters better though.
