A truly dumb and terrible idea. Destroyed the value of many comics.

Agree worst idea ever ! Luck I was born in 1974 and not have to go throw that. I love all my Hulks 180-182.
-
I sent away for the stamp book with 2 quarters taped to a piece of cardboard and it never came. For years my sock drawer was a tomb for scores of those stamps, I wonder if my mother still has them?

From a collectors point of view, these stamps were the asolute WORST idea EVER in all comics history! What matter if a book seems to be in a 9.9 condition, if it has a stamp clipped?? It reduces the books worth, by 75% to 80%.Yes, Hulk 180-182, the first apperences of wolverine, had these stamps in them. keep that in mind when considering a copy to buy, at 200 bucks or more.I can say, that I was NEVER tempted, to clip these stamps.Lord knows how many thousands went for all 100.
I notice the number given to this book,is 107006. Does this mean, that at least 107006 fans cliped all 100 stamps?Thats about 1/5 or so of most print runs even then!

@jmen4ever Definately not, thank gosh. They printed a large number of these but not every fan that bought one cut stamps out. Many were unsold and in storage at Marvel, Yes, it was a great marketing strategy by Stan Lee to encourage fans to buy titles that weren't selling as well, but in the long run ruined the value of greats like Hulk 180, 181 and 182.
