The Central Islip High School Concert Choir (John Anthony, Director) performs Harry T. Burleigh's beautiful spiritual MY LORD WHAT A MORNIN'. The performance takes place in the LeFrak Concert Hall at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College. This is a song I have wanted to perform with the choir for as long as I can remember. When I first heard it as a student at the Aaron Copland School of Music I remember being utterly captivated by it. The Concert Choir performed this song as part of their program in Rochester, N.Y. for the NYSSMA ALL-STATE CONFERENCE. (NYSSMA= New York State School Music Association). I hope we did it justice.

  • This is stunningly BEAUTIFUL. One of my favorite songs to sing solo, but this choral piece is outstanding and moving.

  • Great justice, indeed.
