Also the Catholic church never banned the reading of the Bible. The Bible was read in the Church after the canon was defined as scripture.

Awesome vid dude!! I engage sometimes in apolgetics,..and have found richness in the Catholic intellectual tradition. Protestants have no real giants such as Aquinas, Newman and Chesterton.

you should debate kabanethechristian

What is there about having sex with children that prompted you to become Catholic?

@gnrhead I forgot to say in my original post, God Bless you and your family.

Again...your video....grab you nose and you put your hand in front of your mouth and the pop filter is still in the drawer. What the fuck were you saying here. Dumping on the cathilics I hope

At what point after your conversion did you find out thats what Jesus really looked like? Does it say to hang what might actually be a false depiction and/or blasphemous counterfeit on your wall in the Apocrypha?
-
@ESEME11 Yeah! They didn't ban reading it! They just banned reading it or hearing it in a language people could actually understand and burned people alive who performed the horrendous crime of actually translating it into any language that they did.

Catholicism is the most rediculous form of ANY religion.... in mass, you all sit there, and repeat the same things, when the bible clearly states not to. you all openly drink, most more than you should, most dont know anything of the bible. And its't the religion that basically states "do all of these rituals, dont ask why, just do it, & you'll be fine."

I am glad you found a Church with which you are compatible, and I wish you well, but this I must say:
I have known many people who switched from Denomination A to Denomination B, and others who switched from Denomination B to Denomination A. Both categories say the switch was the smartest thing they ever did.

I converted to the Catholic faith nearly 7 years ago now. I work for a number of Catholic apologetics organizations and I travel and do talks. If you check my Youtube account you can find numerous debates. I have studied Catholicism, Orthodoxy, and Protestantism in depth..and I find that my heart belongs with the Church GOD left us, the Catholic Church. Thanks for your nice comments. GOD BLESS you

Ironically, the catholic church had banned the reading of the Bible, and endorsed only one latin translation.
As scholars from constantinople drifted onto the scene, the real Bible was returned to the people in the original hebrew and greek, and the latin translation was shown to be warped and altered. The invention of the printing press allowed widespread distribution, and the people woke up to the lie.
ONLY AFTER this, were the apocryphal books accepted as canon. An emergency stop-gap.

Unfortunately for you, yours is a twisted and pathetic level of knowledge on the Canon and Biblical issues. Many early Fathers that spoke Latin also spoke and wrote in Greek and NOT A SINGLE Church Father rejected the Deuterocanon, the books you label Apocrypha. The only one to seem as such was Jerome, who himself later accepted them as well! No Latin translation was altered or warped.
You seemingly don't know a thing about textual criticism or anything about the Biblical manuscripts.

Augustine, one of the most important Church Fathers we have to look to wrote in both Latin and Greek and many of his extant Latin manuscripts are some of the MOST IMPORTANT surviving manuscripts that attest to the New Testament's earliest manuscripts. There was no real Bible that was returned to the PEOPLE as you claim. That sounds silly. Every single early Father that used the books you label Apocrypha used those books and called them SACRED SCRIPTURE.

These books are listed among the ANCIENT CODICES, along with OTHER SCRIPTURE and at all the early CHURCH councils they were deemed CANONICAL because this is how the Church has always viewed them. Rather than coming here and posting your Jack Chick type of argumentation, I suggest you actually read books that deal with the Canon and speak about Textual criticism. You only make yourself sound silly. I can only imagine what other misconceptions you harbor about the Church.
