If you are going to think of it terms of propaganda, why don't you just consider anti nuke propaganda?

The ants were a metaphore for Communism (natch) and for selling the idea that no matter how many you killed, more would spring up. Think of it as a pre-sell for Vietnam.

This is the first movie that I ever saw...went to see it with my folks when I was about 5 years old. I never forgot it and it kindled an interest in sci fi movies that that I retain to this day. Thanks for posting this trailer.

Im 25 and Love this movie , Giant ants became my excuse for being late for college once and now its my excuse all the times im late LOL Giant Ant in the road could get past !! people like Huh ? XD
