this 80s hair metal is laughable but gregs gtr lines were so far above the genre. i remember him before the howe 2 stuff when he did his solo album on shrapnel and he was impressive out of the gate.

this band was so good. saw them live back in the day on the strip.
their problem was they never wrote a hit single that could expose them to the general public. They should've picked a good cover song(like VH did) made a kick ass version of it.

@Gibsonrocker89: Without VH, Howe II wouldn't even sound like this. They based their style on classic VH. You can't really compete with a more popular brand that you copy even if you do perform better. As for black rock bands being less popular, your teacher was right. Black rock bands have always had a harder time being accepted, despite writing great music. Bad Brains are an amazing band but have never gotten their due and are name-checked by lots of other bands they've influenced.
