Here is the new gameplay trailer for Hypertension Episode 1 (EX1) showcasing the new Splitscreen Cooperative mode, running on the hyper3DGE technology.

Some things to note - I, Corbin, could not find anyone to play this with since it was working, and the teammates agreed I put up a video regardless. What you see here is me actually playing with myself - Left uses the keyboard and Right uses the mouse. Trust me - this ended up being very disorienting so I tried my best to maneuver both players at the same time. This was a feature coded by the original engine developer and myself - it took only 5 days. While it needs some refinement (you can tell by watching it again), and Hyper needs to be pulled apart in some places to support 2 player, there's no doubt its the first step to full Internet Play.

When is it out? ; getting silly this.

@Vendettare1 We decided to go in a different direction and switch game engines. There's more information on the blog. In a nutshell, we discontinued this game, though there's still a possibility we could release a four-level demo, though that would be the extent of our involvement with this.

Why discontinue? not enough levels actually were made? But from what ive seen it looks cool and tons of work went into it, would be a shame if it never saw the light of day. I say release the 4 levels, or all the levels which are complete enough. Nothing worse than hard work not being seen in the end..... example Duke Nukem Forever (the original stuff seen in the early trailers which never made it into the final game, final game was crap!).

@journeytosilius The game was unfinished and had a lot of bugs..after I took over engine duties, the project fell apart. My new team is looking into other avenues, and unfortunately, releasing this project now could hamper those efforts considerably. The only way this would work legally is if we had a program that checked for the original Blood CD, and even then, we can't take the risk if it might put us in hot water. I think about this all the time, tears of all kinds...

@speewave I would love to try and make some sort of release, because it was nearly finished, but we will have to wait and see. Lots of wrangling if we released this now.

@Corbachu Oh that sucks, wait how do other Blood mods and Doom mods get released without needing the CD? I guess not fully legally ;p

@Vendettare1 I'm not in a position to make decisions but I hope we don't release hyper as is. It lacks a tremendous amount of polish. Also, If it were released on the latest version of 3dge, it wouldn't run on the dreamcast. Putting it out like that and disappointing our biggest supporters would be cruel.

@Corbachu What a joke. Been waiting 3 years, knew from day one this would never happen. Time wasters you lot are; let everyone down. How could you just discontinue it at the last minute like this, should of just said from day one it would never happen.
