After the numerous 1970s uploads, I have decided to upload a 1980s concert--because a friend wanted me to post it for his bootleg party! Anyway, this is a great concert from The Works Tour! Like all the other Leiden concerts, the crowd sounds awesome at this gig (they sing along with most of the songs), and this propels the band into delivering an excellent performance! The quality is great, and is complete! Freddie's voice is in pretty good shape--especially compared to most of the 1984 concerts (Save for the first couple, and Stuttgart)!

ENJOY!!!

Note: The band plays '39 for the first time since the Hammersmith 1979 concert! Lets just say that Freddie had a good time trying to remember whatever words he didn't forget (lol), and Brian probably wasn't too happy that his song was getting destroyed on stage! The crowd sings the first verse and chorus perfectly--while Freddie throws in the few lines he still remembers (and even adds new lines, "And something else happens")!

  • I think you'll find folks that they did play this at the the start of The Works Tour which then went into, 'Great King Rat', 'Machines', 'Guitar Solo' and then, 'Brighton Rock' :-). I think people need to look up Queen Live history...

  • Haha! Nice comment!

  • I'd love to be proved wrong though, please enlighten me! best wishes.....

  • Happy new year!

  • This is not 1984. This is a fake clip. Queen did not perform/ or did not include "Stone cold crazy" on any of their European/ UK tours in 1984. I saw them. Ditto "39"

  • Of course it's fake! I'm glad someone finally noticed!

  • Happy birthday Freddie!

  • HAPPT BIRTHDAY FARROKH BULSARA!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome! Queen always gave excellent performances in Leiden (the crowds also helped)!

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs my cousin was the chief of the restaurant in the Groenoordhal in Leiden and he always let me in for free when Queen gave a concert. Than I had the best place as wel. I have seen Gennesis to there and I noticed the the

differency for quality. Nothing can ever beat Queen! The best concert they gave in my opinion was the famous Wembley '86 concert. but I haven't seen them all off course. greetings.
