I have the X6 2010 boom.
They claim that they have fixed the breaking problems.
It still hear the thing creaking after jibing and I have the boom since last year septemer, and did almost 1000km with it..... It's still in perfect condition :)

you got to love the rocket....... have an 80 and tushingham tbird 3 6.5 & 7.5, fucking rip's....might have to get the slightly smaller litre version for big winds.....definately the board for the bigger blokes out there, killer!
saying that, anybody know whas best to glue the decking pad back with, mine is starting to come off near the mast foot.....

hahahahahahahahaaaaaaa. -
i have... got a x3 boom 2 seasons ago... after one season the head broke... replaced it with a X6... this boom is much better than x3.
main use is wave/freestyle and freeride.
It may depend on the inertia of the object that was connected to the harness lines lol.
The greater the mass of the sailor the more damage you can expect hehe.
Hope to be out sailing some time soon bud,its been dire of late.

Has anyone else had experience of the X3 boom breaking on them. (180-230) Rigged with a lighting 8,5 wind strength a force five gusting as well, at times over powered but to find that the Neil Pryde Boom X3 can apart at the clamp area and I mean you could see metal. I would really like to find out how many other hobby surfers like myself have had this happen to them. Cheers DaMacGuru
