There are Frats & Sororities on campus here at UC Merced now!!!

with a barren environment like that, i wouldnt want to go there unless they at least have Frats.
As far as i can see, there is no social life at UC Merced, they need to do a better job of attracting students.

Sororities and fraternities are a spectacular way to build leadership skills, host campus events, network, and volunteer in the community. The second interviewee was right on target with the school spirit; this is especially true during Homecoming Week.
Good luck with founding a fraternity! I am a sorority chapter founder (though there was already a Greek system in place at my university), and it has been extremely rewarding.
