Petter W1VO - New Trolley -

Hi all,

I built a stronger trolley for the Petter W1VO today. The previous trolley was ok but the tank stand just wasn't up to it, so I built a new one with a tool box tank stand.

The engine is a 500cc single cylinder side valve engine dating from the 1950's and is fitted with a vaporiser so that it can be run on paraffin or TVO. It will produce 3hp at 1500rpm but is much nicer just ticking over at around 500-600rpm.

This engine is a reverse rotation, high speed W1VO and is one of 5 of this specification ever made.

Look out for a new engine ariving this weekend....

Cheers, I did have it running on TVO but the vaporiser cooled off! I am having trouble getting it to start, even after washing out the fuel system I think the fuel has got contaminated. I'm going to drag it out in the snow today and see if I can get it going by heating the plug and vaporisor.

Amanco cylinder head has now been sourced, it needs repairs but nothing so drastic!

The wheels look much nicer on that trolley and go with the engine really well.
