  • So, how do you find out what the jazz chords are in the first place and what works with the right hand? The right hand seems to be self explanatory but where do you learn the foundation? Obviously, this piece could be played very straight. The interpretation is beautiful. Please help me.

  • You have to imagine I've listen to hundreds of songs and I borrow chord structure, patterns, foundation, melody interpretation from those songs and like a computer I store them in my head. I pull them out while I'm playing making it hard for me to play the same thing the same each time. I hear the chords in my head first and if I've practiced them before I add them to what ever I'm playing

  • Nice bro! Amazing! 5 stars plus+

  • There is nothing in this world like a Hammond B3. Nothing sounds like a B3. I can pick one out of any crowd.

  • Yeah I know what you mean. I personally think that the most powerful organs are large pipe organs, but the real old console Hammond definitely is the most soulful of all organs. That terrific sound cannot be replaced by anything else.

  • I used your precise chord progression and melodic line in a babershop composition for A levels. It works so perfectly, and still does, years after i first noted it. Thank you my friend

  • thanks Sam

  • B 3's are great!

  • Impresionante!

    Saludos desde argentina!

PD:algun dia me gustaria tocar asi!!

  • Understood. The song is Blessed Redeemer correct? This tune can be played very straight ahead. . . so, obviously only certain jazz chords work with the tonic chord and the 4 chord and the 5 and the 6 minor. . . that said, how do you go about seeking instruction on what jazz chords govern or work with the otherwise straight ahead frame that was originally written. I'm not challenging you, just very curious. You play beautifully!
