The Common raven is one of the most widespread, naturally occurring birds worldwide. They prefer open landscapes. Common ravens are known for their intelligence and complex social dynamics. Common ravens walk on the ground or fly. They may also glide and soar.
Ravens are opportunistic omnivores. They scavenge much of their diet from carrion. They also eat rodents, eggs, nestlings, and grain. In some parts of their range, such as the Arctic and desert regions, they may feed on garbage and waste near human settlements. Ravens are usually found solitarily or in pairs.

  • Oh, such a beautiful bird. Intelligent, too. A lot of people I know see them as pests but I love them.

  • Wonderful bird... in Italy we don't call it "common raven" but "corvo imperatore" (emperor raven) because it's the biggest and the most beautiful of crows.

Very smart, gorgeous birds and have a sense of humour!

  • @MystikooXT Where do you like does it make a "cronk" sound? Yes, ravens sound absurd, crows sound better.

  • very cool

  • beautyful bird

  • I am not sure if this is the kind of bird I have seen and heard out side of my house, but if it is, it has the ugliest voice ever, and so loud. Keeps me up in the morning when I wanna go back to sleep. The other day it was three at once, walking around the house, all screaming. I feel like setting up a trap, just so I can punch it in the face somtimes and let it go again, hopefully it finds a new territory, not 10 metres from my house.

  • THEY ARE COMMEN SORTA LIKE THE Mexicans

  • @Dumno Corvo imperatore is a beautiful name. Thanks for sharing that...I am in love with this bird and have one that lives near my home. He caws out at exactly the time I am to arise for work. He has also raced along side my car as I head out for work. What a most fascinating creature. Namaste

  • Take a good look at our future avian overlord. The war is coming I tell you!
