  • I can`t help but thinking what an empty life he had. Yes, I suppose it`s great in many ways to be king, but not at the cost that Elvis suffered. Constant touring to the same places he had been 1000 times before. No touring abroad, turned night into day, and a life that went so fast down the drain. He had deserved so much more. I can easily see him as a proud granddad in his rocking(!) chair smiling at his grandchildren. Rest in peace, my friend. You were robbed in life as you are in death.

  • thanks elvis . For all that you gave us. Your music ,your incredible voice your humbleness, your smile. Thanks for just being you.You will never be forgotten.

  • "I actually preferred her to be out than in the house, because it was very depressing." Cilla on LMP, 2003 Larry King Lie.

  • It is through the voices of poetic souls like Elvis Presley and Ilse DeLange that we are able to emotionally sustain ourselves through the hardships and travails of this onerous life. Their shared gifts continue to restore our faith in ourselves and humanity at large against the ceaseless onslaught of death, wars, disease, tyranny and poverty. I thank God for their contributions. Compassion, disseminated through music, salves the savaged heart. God bless the songmakers.
