@multitigger19 that is backwards motion just before the punch, the punch is still coming from the hip. it's just he puts it out a bit brings it back behind the hip and then executes the punch. really it should be done the other way, bring back the fist first.

Hehe, I am an instructor at my dojo. I have done Chon-Ji most likely a few hundred times, both teaching it to the white belts and practicing it myself. You usually can reach this level after doing it about the hundred time. Just remember, Practice doesn't make perfect; sloppy practice makes sloppy work, perfect practice makes perfect work.
