Goodbye Green Belt

The Government is holding a gun at the Rushcliffe Council, not only telling them how many houses to build but demanding they be built in the Green Belt.

500 acres of green field will go under concrete.

There are hundreds of new houses and apartments already built in Nottingham which people are not buying... they are just lying empty from new. Why do we need more? Could it be that the Government see this as a way of getting money from Section 106 and sale of the existing football ground, regardless of the consequences? Where are all the jobs in Nottingham for any influx of people? Such a sad situation that beautiful countryside/ wildlife will be lost forever for no real positive purpose.

here here, save tollerton, where do they propose they will get the jobs needed for the people moving to the area. perhaps they should concentrate on that first , the roads are already unable to cope with the existing traffic
