I've been trying out some recipes from my dads cookery book-this one is GOOD!!!

Pecan Pie

3 eggs
4floz light karo syrup
2 and a half oz white sugar
4oz chopped pecans
Teaspoon of vanilla essence
pinch of cinnamon
1 unbaked sweet pie crust

1. Beat the eggs, adding all but the pecans, and mix well.
2. Add the pecans and pour into an unbaked pie shell.
3. Bake at 160 degrees (gas mark 3) for 45 minutes.

  • I love Pecan Pie... was never a big fan of Pumpkin pie :)

I agree about pecans being the best nuts EVER!! Your pie looks fabulous!

  • Such a simple recipe and SO delicious! So when will you do a cook-book? But then why do I ask-you're channel has so many wonderful recipes (the stuffed mushrooms and your recommendation for the bread recipe I have put into regular use!)

You're channel is a living cook book as well as sit-com!

I hope you always keep adding to it!

  • Pecan pie is gorgeous. Wasn't so keen on pumpkin pie when I tried that. Your dad is a published author. Cool!

  • I've yet to try the pumpkin pie-but the soup was really nice! I think it's all in the spices you add :)

  • Oh that looks delicious. I do have a sweet tooth.

I'm certainly buying a copy of that book. It's written so clearly that even someone like me can make food!

Slick, professional editing Tia! Keep the black and white going. John Hurt would be proud ;)

  • This recipe especially was SO easy and yet SO delicious!!!

I wondered if the editing was a little too busy and confusing-but I had fun doing it that way anyway ;)
