With more than 90 years of experience and expertise, DIAF qualifies as one of the worlds most renowned and respected suppliers of machinery and plants for the chemical- technical processing industry, and in particular for the paint, varnish and printing ink Sectors. A claim substantiated by a long list of international references embracing over 60 countries worldwide and a range of products geared to the needs of an increasingly automated clientele.




DIAF ranks among the worlds foremost specialists in the research, development and manufacture of plant and machinery for mixing, dispersing and grinding, for applications ranging from laboratory equipment at one end of the spectrum to large industrial plants at the other. We believe that it is the in-house capacity to plan and dimension production equipment for individual manufacturing requirements which distinguishes us from the competition. By examples and references provided, customers can see how the logistics and the main machinery can be optimised to suit their own output levels, mixtures and product mix down to the finest detail.



We are convinced that close co-operation between the project management team, and plant and Equipment builders such as DIAF, is a prerequisite for success. With the majority of customers demanding much more than just a standard machine for a defined task, it is important, if not crucial, that DIAF participates in a project from the earliest stage possible to ensure a complete overview of all stages of a production process - from start to finish.




The DIAF range of products covers all aspects of a production process; from development, design, supply, installation and service to process control and quality assurance. The prevailing trend away from manual to semi and fully automated projects has vindicated the strategy advocated by the company in recent years to give greater emphasis to modern project management skills and to increasing our high-tech service and product range.




DIAF is active in most areas in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries but has, in more recent years, specialised in projects for the manufacture of paints, varnishes and printing ink. Over 80% of sales are now derived from these industries. Among a large number of customers on the Scandinavian home market, DIAF enjoys the reputation of being the most complete partner in the industry. Many of these customers have also contracted us to participate in the realisation of plantsbuilt in various other parts of the globe. Although DIAF is the market leader in Scandinavia, direct exports outside the region generate some 80% of revenues, while the indirect figure is significantly higher.




A number of our customers, Scandinavian as well as other European paint, varnish and lacquer manufacturers, have provided valuable assistance to many Asian countries in building up their own industries, which has lead to a preference for DIAF products in these countries. Around a third ofthe output is now exported to Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim region.


Implementation of stringent environmental legislation combined with the industrys self-imposed
measures to rationalise operations have provided DIAF with an ideal opportunity to increase sales.


At the same time, on-going in-house development of still more sophisticated machines incorporatingintelligent (product-dependent) control technology will enable DIAF to improve the
efficiency of the equipment further, and remain at the forefront of the technological development
in this industrial sector.
